How many read Consumer Reports?

Just heard it on the news.

Sad to hear the news, but glad he is in a better place.

He was a great president.

"When the Lord calls me home, whenever that may be, I will leave with the greatest love for this country of ours and eternal optimism for its future," Reagan wrote at the time. "I know that for America there will always be a bright dawn ahead. "

I like that quote

I think he was the best president in the 2nd half of the 20th century. I wasn't around for the 1st half to know about the others.

There are a lot of liberals who do not like conservative politics and economics, but they still benefit from our strong economy and end of the cold war. I hope they appreciate Ronald Reagan, even if they won't say it out loud.

God bless you Mr Reagan, and thank you for showing us what a president can, and was intended, to be.

IMO one of the best presidents we've had. A true leader.

We are much better and stronger thanks to Ronald Reagan.

May God bless him.

Eric

I was too young to vote but I always listened when he spoke. The world would be a better place if we had more like him.

He is in a better place.

A President who stood his ground on principle and fulfilled his duties with grace and courage. The world is without a great person from this day forward. I hope his legacy continues to burn bright in the years ahead.

He did a few good things but again he would have been better not being president. He sunk us into debt as a country... . said any bullets harder than copper were cop killers... Accually, its not the bullet its the person. And he signed the 1986 Machine Gun Ban into law  Maybe the alztimers struck him a little earlier than though with the horrible moronic gun laws he put on the law abiding gun owner...

Guys, if you want your right back, go to Kill the 1994 Brady Bill

Good forum, and if you dont want gun grabbers to take everything away, call your local politicians and tell them where to shuve the 1994 AW ban!!!

I was reading about it on yahoo yesterday morning here at work and when I got home that evening it was on the news. He was the best we ever had. A sad day now. God Bless him.

I'm deeply sorry for his family and their loss, however, its hard for me to respect someone for the job they did when they have infringed on my second admendment rights... His bans were out of line and I didnt say anything really wrong other than the TRUTH so I'm not understanding where you are coming from. . There is no reason to flame on someone for stating facts

In my opinion he was the best prezzy weve had since I was born. I always got the impression that the Ruskies didnt know what he was gonna do. Like he was a loose cannon. He had em looking over their shoulders. Back when it was cool to talk bad about russians. Ahh, I miss the cold war. A little light humor so dont get worked up.

As for the economics of the deal. I always felt that he set it up for us to rock in the 90s. Every block had a millionaire in the 90s. After 911 things been a little tighter. Nothin like a skirmish to get the economy pumping again.

It was morning again in America today when I woke up to hear the news. Even NPR had good things to say about him!

I heard that he revered and respected the Oval Office so much that he would not enter it without wearing a suit an tie!

Rest in peace:(

I was at Belmont Park in NY when the PA announcer said: "With deep regret we inform you the former president Ronald Regan passed away the afternoon". This was followed by a moment of silence. Everybody took off their hats and stood up.

I love the time when he was doing a mike check and made the "bombing will begin in 5 minutes" quip. I bet a bunch of sphincters in the USSR were slamming shut!

I guess, having grown up near NASA Johnson Space Center with a father and a lot of friends who worked in the space program, my most lasting memory was the speech he made at JSC following the Challenger crash.

I agree with Big Daddy T. I think the things that President Reagan did in the 80's set us up for the economic boom in the 90's (which President Clinton is often mistakenly given credit for). I would like to see some more Reaganomics.
