Took on the task of puttin the roof clearance lamps on a buds 2500 sport, went pretty easy after the first hole was drilled in the roof, removing the existing wiring harness that went to the overhead console and puttin in the one that has the sockets for the clearance lamps (and the little handy trip computer if its possible to put one in a truck that wasn't factory equipped with one) was a royal PITA especially with the awful crumbly dash still in the truck. It looks sooo much better now with the lights on it.

Here is a before shot

No turning back now with 5 holes in the roof

All done and it makes it look like a real truck, especially with the intence blue pearlcoat paint

Another completed shot

Close up of one of the lamps, they cleaned up pretty well for comin off a truck that was 9 years old

looks 100 times better. Not that the truck looked bad before, just a truck needs to have clearance lights, IMO.

How much difficulty did you have running wires from the dash area up into the headliner area? I've wanted to do this with my '97 2500.

I've got the 5 lights that go on the outside new from the dealer, but I don't have any wiring harness. I figured I'd (somehow) run wire up the left windshield post and into the headliner area.

I *really* don't want to tear the headliner out to do this.

You sure don't see an Intense Blue Sport very often. Back in 1999 when I was thinking about buying my first Cummins Intense Blue was the color I had picked out.
