While on a remote job assignment, I looked at my 2004. 5 Dodge truck from a second floor hotel balcony. I was very dissapointed to see a roof crease! Wow! Where did this happen!

Myself, I never park in underground garages - I don't trust the height limits. I want a good 6'-8" of clearance, and I never trust the parking garage to correctly figure out the approach/departure angles on concrete ramps. I finally figured out it was over a year ago that I visited and allowed a "valet" parker to park my vehicle at an "upscale" resturant in Pasadena, CA. They use an underground garage. I went back there, and measured height clearances, and sure enough, fire sprinklers and piping are in the way.

My trouble, though how to prove it? Would anyone believe me?

You could take it back there and have them park it again, but have someone else wait in the garage to see if it hits. Then they could fix it for the second damage, might be a long shot... I had a similar accident with a parking lot remote arm at the airport that slid down the side of my cab and bed when it closed before I made it out of the parking lot, that realliy Ped me off. only scuffed the clearcoat and left a white smear from the paint on the arm. I think it will buff out, just never have time.

I got scraped up pretty good in Atlantic city. No crease though.

I caught it immediately, and brought it to the attention of the valet in charge.

They denied it, etc. etc.

I went to the higher ups and they "split the cost" of fixing it.

The clearance sign was lowered shortly after, but it still reads the same.

I got bigger tires on my truck, but even before I did, I didnt go back.

Seagulls suck, but it's outside parking for me for now on. :-laf
