I jump in the truck this morning, and its been raining all night. Start driving to work and notice water dripping and sure enough the driver side sun visor mount, where the visor clips in, is dripping water, and the headliner around it is soaked! Has anyone else had this problem? I made an appointment with the dealer for next tuesday, but if there is an easy fix I'll just do it myself before I let the dealer get there hands on it.

P. S. I do have clearence lights and I have not yet checked them, its still raining here so I'll have to wait till it lets up to check them.

That same one was leaking on mine. I had three roof lights that they must of over tightened at the factory cause they had cracks in them. They replace them and no leaks yet. I think I caught mine just when it started to leak cause there was very little water on the headliner.

I had the same type of leak but on the passenger side. Mine also was due to a cracked cab light lens. Just put it in that big shop untill it stops raining tomorrow morning. :)

I've got a lot of water under the back seat (passenger side) of my 03 (Oct 02 build). It isn't the cab lights because I put them on. It goes to the ******* on Monday.

I just got home today from picking up my truck from Tommeygun. It rained most of the way,and I have the exact same leak comming out the visor mount.

I also have the same leak. So far only a couple of drops from the visor clip. I also have the cracked clearance light lenses, but they are cracked at the very bottom. I think it is leaking from the screw holes. If they screwed them down tight enough to crack the bottom of the lens where it touches the roof, it might have cracked the area around the screw hole. My lenses actually have about . 5 inches of water in them. I don't think that much water can accumulate from a crack at the bottom.

The service manager has already looked at them, and I go in Monday for 5 new complete cab lights.

Well I had another leak on one on the drivers side where the sun visor clamps in. Looked at it when I got home and it was cracked again by screw hole. Its possible they overtightened it when they replaced it the first time. Or there flexing and cracking themselves. They did not have any in stock so they took a couple off of one in the lot. We have not had any rain yet but I washed it yesterday and no leak. So keep a eye on them.

My 03 with 5100 miles just started to leak last week over the right side visor hold clip. IT was fine all winter with the cold. Took it to the dealer, he said Bad windshield seal. I asked if he checked the clearence light right over the visor hold clip. NOPE... . its the windshield. They install a nice new 'TINTED' windshield. The next day its still leaking. Took it up today, new tech looked and said immediatelly that the clearence light lens was cracked and when he hit it with a hose the water poured in.

They have had such a rash of broken lights, they have taken 6 clearnece lights off new trucks to get customers fixed quickly.

I love the new Top Tinted windshield ha ha

DAMN DAMN DAMN !!

It just happened to me this morning on my way to work. It's been raining pretty hard the last couple of days. I take the turn to get on the e-way, and WHOOSH comes the water from the drivers visor clip.

I'm going out at lunch to look for the cracked clearance lights. Boy this sux ! The LAST thing I need is water to make its' way into my overhead, or start to saturate my headliner. Oo.

Mine have signs of moisture in them also, so dealer is going to replace them. I had a water leak in my 02 and dont want to go through that again!

I had it coming from the drivers side grab handle. Pulled all the clearance lights and put a ring of silicone around the hole the wire passes through AND sealed the screw threads. This fixed it for me. Looks like the gaskets on the bottom of the lenses are too thin and don't properly compress before the lens makes contact with the roof line. Just my . 02

Yep - condensation / moisture residue in 4 of the 5 clearance lights. There is no outwardly visible crack on the lenses themselves, so I may just do like Gypsyman and seal 'em up myself. The trip to the dealer is always like going to the dentist ..... makes my skin crawl ... ... :(

I had a leak from the passenger side grab handle, way back when, it has never leaked again. Just a one time deal, none of the cab lights were broken or unusually loose.

I guess I just got lucky.

I was washing my truck a few days ago and when I got done I had water coming from the visor clip. I checked my clearance lights when I got home and they didn't seem to be cracked but I noticed moisture underneath one (inside the sealing gasket) on the roof. The lights sealing gaskets looked to me like they should work fine. It looked like the water got through the screw hole. After examining it further it looks to me like the crappy super thin hard plastic, easily cracked, washers used for the screws are the problem.

I went to the local True Value hardware store and got ten 5/32" neoprene washers and replaced all the cheap plastic ones on the clearance lights. These are much thicker and should seal a lot better. So far so good but I haven't washed the truck again yet.
