Rotella ELC Antifreeze

Has anyone used rotella elc pre-diluted 50/50 extended life antifreeze? I just seen some at a farm store and it says its good for 300,000 miles before adding an extender.

If its orange like dex cool and others, the Cummins tech that did my head gasket commented that orange anti freeze was causing a lot of head gasket wear. He used a Cummins pre diluted product, green, thats good for150k, but pricey ($10/gal). Just what i heard from a guy whos done hundreds of Cummins head gaskets.

Keep in mind they've made millions of engines, and for more years than they've been in our trucks.

I also was a bit unnerved at that comment-"hundreds of head gaskets"- But the tech said most of these are industrial use, and the original gasket with the equivalent of 200k or more.

The upgraded head gasket should outlast the engine, according to him. I'm not so enthused about going to a second gen now that i"ve got that new gasket.
