thanks for the info. I was able to order 6 from wal mart and then I found 2.5 gallon t5 15w40 jugs at TSC for $22. That was a few weeks ago.
I wonder why some retailers were discounting that particular oil?

Not sure? It was only that price for a day. Went back up to regular price online.

Years back someone at Walmart screwed up and had put the wrong price in the system . Price was less than. Non synthetic . They didn’t catch it for almost 5 months... That oops cost someone.

If you know where to watch there are handsome sales/rebates through both Shell and Mobil. I just got a check in the mail from Mobil for $36 for 4 gallons of Mobil Delvac Extreme 15w40. Purchased for $18.00 per gallon through Speedway Motors, after the rebate of $9.00 per gallon I am out of pocket $9 per gallon for a synthetic blend 15w40. The Delvac 1300 can be had for around $6-7 per gallon after rebates.
