Having trouble finding Rotella 15 w 40 for my 1998.5 24v Dodge. Can I use Rotella 15 w40 Synthetic blend without any problems. My Cummins has 280 K miles on it with no oil leaks.

Not a problem. In fact, it may be a slight upgrade in performance. May be higher in oxidation stability and shear resistance. But, there will be no seat of the pants performance difference or change in fuel economy that will be measurable.

I switched to full synthetic at 155k miles and have 276k now. No leaks at all. It should not cause oil leaks for you.
