First of the truck is a 1998, 2500, 2wd, Rear ABS.

What I need is Rotors.

I call my friend at the parts store, who looks them up in a raybestos book, then tells me the price its just under $100. 00 each. Plus there special order (which means he don't sell many of them, he is the warehouse for a network of 10 parts stores)

I call the local parts guy where everything should cost about 2X what my buddy sells to me for, and he wants $85. 00 each plus there in stock! (not rabestos)

I call back my buddy and he says there so expensive because they have an ABS ring on them. I tell him I don't have ABS, but raybestos only shows one rotor.

I don't have ABS on the front, and No ABS ring! Was there 2 different rotors in 1998?

I called the local "5 screw" but parts would not even answer the phone (yes, they were open)

anybody care to take a shot at this one?

Still on my quest for Rotors for my 2wd. I had to buy rotors for my VW yesterday, so I have my buddy look up my truck, 2wd, 8800 package, etc, etc. That will be $44. 00 each. SOLD! So I have my wife pick them up during lunch.

Finally got my rotors!

She brings them home, I open the boxes, THEIR THE WRONG ONES.

These slide over the lug bolts, where I think mine should have the center bearing hup. I think. Can't remember seeing where my rotors could come off the bearing hub when I had them off to repack them last year.

Oh well, anybody got an idea what these rotors fit?

Well I figured it out, Raybestos has a great web site with pictures and everything.

They are for a 98 (and maybe higher?) 2500 4wd with 8800 option

Raybestos number 56324

keep looking

There is another thread on this subject. Seems Autozone has Aimco which has a drilled/slotted rotor and NAPA has a similar one for severe duty as well. I am going to be looking at these soon. First I have to do the rear.
