The OEM part number for front rotors is 4428063.

I have a spare slightly used pair on the shelf, if you need any measurements PM me.

Neil,

I just noticed from your signature that you have a crank system for the spare tire. Boy we sure could have used one of those recently while we were on a hunting trip. Can you provide some details as to what you have on your truck and where one could get one?

Cheers,

Al

Spare Tire Carrier

The tire carrier was available as a dealer installed option just like the factory tach. Back in 93 my dealer had a poster hung up in his parts department that had all the optional truck assesories shown on it, including the tire carrier. Initialy we could only find a part number for the Dakota after a few months of pestering they found a part number for the full size truck. I would tend to think that they would no longer be available from Mopar as I had seen them being sold off at a local surplus store a few years back.

The tire carrier utilizes a worm and pinion driven by a removable crank, to swing a pair of arms that run either side of the spare to lift it into place. The tire actualy is stored in the stock location, and lowers down and swings rearward, just under the bumper for easy removal. Probably the reason that these carriers were not very common is that they mount in the same position on the frame rails as as does a reciever hitch. The two can be mounted together onto the frame rails, it's just heavy job lifting the two in place at the same time. The only other problem is the cross tube in the reciever needs a hole in it for the crank to pass through to get to the tire carrier.

Putting up one photo, I have more but will have to send them to you.
