Does anyone have any experiance with Rough Country shocks? They come with a lifetime warranty and are $140 for all four. I've never heard of them and can't find anywhere local that sells them to compare the price.

Sound like a good deal?

Bavk in the 70's they were in El Cajon and built some nice stuff. I had their race shocks. Very plush ride with great control. Those days are gone, they are owned by another big company, the shocks are generic, nothing special anymore :(

Thanks for the replies. I saw them on ebay and thought if they were good quality shocks it would be a good deal.

Will I would not buy them. I have done may lift systems in chevrolets and Fords that have had them in the kit. (Even Pro Comp kits before their proprietary shocks were developed) and I can attest to their failure rate. I have seen more hung valves in theese shocks than I care to discuss. However it seems that the heavier load, in which they are trying to deosclate the valving seizes. Lighter rigs like 88-94 Chevs are relatively lighter in the front ends than the current trucks and they would last a bit (Soft or poor chroming process on the pistons still killed them anyhow) but the fords would eat them up but quick.

So what do you guys think of the Edelbrock IAS shocks?

I don't... ... ... . Ilove my fox shocks, I am spoiled now I don't think I could go back to a standard type shock :D

Oh no. Well Here it goes. I had them on my chev diesel for 30 miles ... then they hit the parts counter :-laf The valving is awesome!!! But it cannot distinguish between a pothole and a dip @ highway speeds. They left my truck Porposing like an old caddy on the highway. In town is awesome tho!!

Bummer, I bought 6 for a 2wd desert chase truck in 81 and they were really nice. Funny thing is in 83 I moved to El Cajon and some one stole them :{ . I bought 6 more, painted them flat black, took the boots off and spot welded the nuts that time.
