rough idle

I have a new 2005 ctd 6 speed and when i am driving it down the road and i come to a stop sign when i let off it will idle down to about 500rpm and then go up to about 800rpm. it bounces between there for about 20 seconds. i was just wondering if this was normal for these trucks?

Although it's very annoying, so many 04. 5-up guys have reported this that I'm beginning to think its normal. Here's a thread that discusses it starting around post #23...
