I went to Eastern NE last weekend, I fueled up in North Platte and drove into 30+ wind at 80mph for aprox 2 hours. My Pyro was 750-800 and my boost ran 11-14#. When I stopped at the TA just out side of GI I noticed my truck was idling funny. I idled it up between 1000-1200 rpm and it missed so bad the hole picup shook. I let it idle for 2-3 min then headed into GI and stopped at the Motel. After checking in it ran fine and No more pickup shakeing miss at any RPM.

Any Idea's would be appreciated.

Mac, it sounds a lot like a problem I had on a trip in Jan that has never reoccurred and I never figured out either. My EGTs and boost were running similar to yours, in other words the truck was working somewhat hard for several hours of straight driving. Was your fuel level below half? My guess has been that when the fuel in the tank eventually gets very hot from returning through the injection pump the temperature of the fuel effects the overflow valve spring and makes your fuel pressure drop. Unfortunately when it happened to me the sender on my fuel pressure gauge was acting up before it died, next time this happens, if it does, I'm ready with new mechanical gauge. The only other thing I can figure besides a drop in lift pump pressure was that it happened to me on a tank of Texaco diesel, something I usually try to avoid.
