My last trailer pull was a pain, every time I hit a rough spot on the road the cruise would cut out.

During this time I lost converter lock up in 3rd for a brief moment over and over again only when the road got rough. Smooth roads were problem free. Now with the cruise off it still bumps in and out of lock up every time I hit a rough bump in the road.

From my searching of the threads I think my problem is the brake switch? Or the TPS?

Should I replace the brake switch first??? Its the first thing I think of that would cause the cruise control and the TC to act up at the same time.

Any advice? Rock Auto?

Sounds like the same problem I had with my 95. Adjusted the brake switch and all was well. Don't recall exact procedure right off for adjusting switch, but found it somewhere on this site. Should be able to do search and find it, or maybe someone else will chime in. Good luck.

I found a thread on the switch, I'm going to try removing it tomorrow too clean and adjust. I've read that you can "pull the plunger out" and push it back in 4 clicks... . I'll try that first.

Thanks

I had the same issue with my 94. I ended up having to loosen the bolts and slid the bracket a little before I was happy with how it worked.
