I just installed a mechanical oil pressure guage and I'm looking for a better way to route the line (I know, I know, most guys don't like the thought of running an oil line into the cab... but I want the mech guage).

Right now, the line runs through one of the grommets near the pedals. I'm using a 6' kevlar line, which is too short for this route. I'd like to find a route from under the dash straight out to the area under the cowl. Anybody know if there's an existing route that would work?

Thanks,

Which side do you want the hole on? Passenger side? I assume you used the pressure port atop the oil filter?

Yep, pressure port on top of oil filter. I'm using a dash pod for my guages, mounted right in the center, so yes, ideally the passthrough would be on the passenger side - closest to the pressure port. I peeked up under the cowl and didn't see anything obvious.

Well, I had hoped I might be of more help, but I'm afraid all I can say is I don't think there are any grommets on the passenger side. All the wiring on these trucks seems to come through the driver's side. You might just want to drill your own hole!

I don't like having a long line because it makes the guage much less responsive. Right now I have the kevlar line exiting the cab into the engine bay and I'm using a nylon line to get from the firewall to the oil pressure port. That's a total of 12 feet of line. On startup, the guage builds pressure very slowly. I think if I shorten the line it will respond more quickly.
