I just bought a pair of exhaust tips from RPM Outlet. They did not have the ones I ordered in stock, so they took it upon themselves to send "a similar replacement". Needless to say, what they sent is NOT what I want on my truck. So, I called them (over and over and over again until I finally was not disconnected or sent to a voice mail) and told them that I wanted a full refund because the error is on their part and I should not be responsible for return shipping or my original shipping fee (which they did not want to credit me for). I was never contacted in any way to let me know the item was not in stock.

So, to make a long story short, STAY AWAY FROM RPM OUTLET! Their business practices are unethical and unprofessional!

The easiest way to get your money back is to dispute the charge with your credit card company. The credit card company usually rules in your favor. Just try to keep a log of events & all documentation. #@$%! Don't get mad get even!!:D

I know it doesn't help you now, BUT a Google search revealed some very nasty business practices by those ya hoo's:mad: It is a good idea to check here first before ordering from someone you never heard of.

I am not ragging on you honest, just trying to save you and others grief another time!!;)

seemore's right. You'll get your money back if you handle this through the credit card company.

When you get the bill with the charge on it, you must send the credit card company a letter (the address should be on the bill) disputing that charge. Then pay everything you owe except the disputed charge.

As seemore said, it's imperative that you keep meticulous records of phone calls, letters, etc. Keep a file on your computer with times and dates, who you talked to, what you discussed, and what the outcome of the call was. Keep hard copies of all written or e-mail correspondence.

I guarantee that you'll win this if you use the credit card company as your advocate.

Good luck
