I have been playing with my new G-Tech and noticed that while doing some 0 - 60 runs, the truck will rap up to about 3100RPMs, shift, drop to about 2800RPMs, and repeat the process. All of the dyno charts that I have seen show a significant hp drop above 2800. It seems that at WOT, the truck is running outside of it's power band. How do you drag strip guys keep it in the optimal RPM range? I haven't seen much mentioned about the boxes that will disable the defueling at higher RPMs.

Thanks,

Kevin

Your problem is the stock trans, once you put your DTT stuff in that you have sitting in the garage you'll be all set and will see large rpm drops just like us manual guys :D !

Manuel Valve Body

That's why I have a manuel valve body. I shift it at the appropriate time based on the tach readings. This is similiar to the way you would race a manuel trans truck. Doesn't do any good to wind the motor out.
