Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Rpm Running High

Year 1995 tuck, 230000 miles running along around 70 miles per hour rpm around 2000. every few minutes the rpm running to around 2400, then backs off to 2000. Keeps doing this any idea way? I think it could be

electrical problem?

Is it an auto? I couln't follow the link in your sig. If it is an auto, it might be the TC unlocking. I recently had a truck doing this, it was a bad brake light switch. Hope this helps. Jeremy.

TX, it is an auto. I hope that is the case, if not does the ground speed go up also? If so I am guessing the governer, happen on a tractor few yrs ago. Scared the crap out of me when the engine hit 3500 going up a hill. Dad didn't belive till the injection shop called him with the conclusion:{
