Greetings everyone from the frying pan they call Arizona,I finally installed the isspro tack that I purchased about 6 weeks ago. What I was wondering is what would be a normal reading at 70 mph,my tach reads 1,950 to just under 2,000 rpms, also just wanted also to see if the trans is in good shape or if it's slipping more than it should. thanks for any replies unclemarc

rpm vs mph

Thats good to know that I'm right in there with other rigs. I'm running 265/75-16 size tires,I feel good knowing my transmission is still good :) My next step is a isspro pyrometer any thoughts on the best place to buy? unclemarc.

The Cummins engine really likes that rpm range ..... I guess it's the design specs or something technical like that... . independant testing has also shown best milage is in/at/around the 1700 - 1800 RPM range... ... ... . go figure... :D
