Reese 5th Wheel Hitch Question

Trying to find out if any of you have installed the Rancho RS 9000 X

on the 2005 2500 CTD. I seem to be getting conflicting information from

a variety of sources. Truck Camper with airbags, but want to further

enchance the ride with the Ranchos.

Also, any thoughts on the Hellwig vs. the IPD anti-sway bars

I installed the Hellwig part #7658 on my 03 2500. Install time was about 2 hours.

I also put 9000x on the truck at the same time. Install time was also about 2 hours.

The 9000's on the soft ride setting took the "freeway expansion bump" right out. Truck rides much better. The sway bar makes a noticable difference on handling. If I had known how much better the truck would handle I would have put it on a long time ago. It really makes it corner like a sports car.

We just purchased an Arctic Fox A990 truck camper. The combo of sway bar and 9000's set on 7 takes most all sway out of the truck.

I haul a heavy 11'6" slide-in truck camper with a slide-out room on my dually. I too installed the Hellwig anti-sway bar on my truck. I have also installed Air Lift 5000 air bags and Rancho RS9000X adjustable shocks. I installed each addition separately. Of the three additions, the Hellwig anti-sway bar was the most effective and improved both the loaded and unloaded handling. The next most effective was the Rancho shocks and the least was the air bags. The Energy Suspension overload spring bump stops(check my signature) were also an effective modification which transfers more of the load to the stiffer overload spring pack.
