RS9000X as a steering stabilizer.

I just ordered RS 9000X's for my truck from Sam's Offroad. I was wondering if you could use a RS9000 as a steering stabilizer? I would like to have my steering a little stiffer. The 9000 would allow more control and you could adjust it. Just a thought.

You shouldn't use a shock cylinder designed for axle position as a steering stabilizer. Shocks have different valving rates for compression and rebound. A steering stabilizer will have the same valve rates for both directions of shaft travel.



Get one that's intended for use as a steering stabilizer.

I already have the RS5000 steering stabilizer, I just wondering why or why not to use a RS9000. I was thinking that the compression and the rebound would be about the same.
