Rubber valve core on 3500 dually

Has anyone had problem trying to put air into the inner dual wheel on a 2003 dually. I believe these rims should have steel valve cores. I am reluctant to add extensions to these rubber valve stems. When trying to check air pressure on the inner rim the valve stem bends from side to side. Need some help. Is there a steel valve stem available for this truck. Thanks, Jim.

Dually valve Stems

Any good tire shop will have inside dual replacement stems, measure about 4"- 5" long, chrome plated brass, or brass finish. There is an Alcoa part number as well. We have Discount Tire here, they can order if not in stock.
