Rubbing noised solved by TDR! New Member in the near future!

My friend bought used 00 with an auto. He had a terrible rubbing noise. I read a post that stated to push on the gear shifter. I told him about it. He called me last night to tell me that he tried it, the noise was still there, but he got under the truck and started pushing, shaking and pulling on the shifter linkage, and sure enough he found the rubbing noise in the shifting linkage (may have been a grommet or something, I'm not sure where it was rubbing). He sprayed some WD40 where it was rubbing and no more rubbing or noise.



He is now sold on TDR, he doesn't have the internet but is going to get it just to have access to TDR!

Thanks for the update. I had posted a few days ago about the linkage, but have not had the time to find the squeek. Now my search will hopefully be shortened The TDR memnbership dues has MORE than 100x paid for itself with the amount of knowledge gained
