Really?

So I picked up my RPR in 6.5CM and opted a Burris XTRII. Zero'd it with factory Hornady ELD-M 140gr ammo then tried out some test loads with Berger 140 Hybrids. Shot from a lead sled. All Chrono'd with an Oehler 35P.

Going to try out some 4451 next and fine tune the R17 and IMR4350 loads.

Those are super cool bolt guns. Mind if I ask what you paid?

Ugh...Completely forgot about this thread. It was a first generation model and I paid $999 for it.

Best load was 41gr of H4350. Easily hitting steel at 500 and 600 yards.

The shop I bought it from had around 15 of them at that price. I think that price was good for the Gen 1. The Gen 2s are the ones that are up there.

Any updates on your factory 6.5 Creedmoor? One of the guys from my fire dept bought a Ruger 6.5 and got hooked on some long range shooting comp that holds events near Colinga, Ca. I haven't been there yet but they're shooting a series of targets spaced out at roughly 1K yrds. Most have bolt guns. Others are using AR10 platforms. Kinda sounds like fun. *

^^ Oh I know. I like my center fire gas piston guns, but they are not all that. 95% cool, 5% function. I've been sitting on AR10 lowers for a coons age, but I can't get myself to complete because of the cost, and they are heavy pigs when finished.*

Was able to hit steel at 500-600 yards with ease. I'm new at long range shooting so I was happy with the results.

I decided to sell the rifle and have a custom built. I'm building a 6.5x47 Lapua. That could change to a 6x47...

^^ If I had your money, I'd throw mine in the trash.......

Post up some pics when you get the custom one finished.*
