A buddy of mine (non member) who has a 99 was talking to a hot-shotter a couple of days ago who was running a 2001 ETH/DEE. This fellow told him there was a recall for reflash on some or all??? of the ETH's for low power. The re-flash was bumping the TQ up to 515 lbs. My buddy claims this guy seemed to be in the know, both he and his dad were running RAMS in their business, and the kid had gotten the reflash done. Anybody heard of such a thing? I would like to think we would have known about any such recall by now here on the TDR.

Shelby, I doubt this guy knows what he's talking about. The only reflash available that I know of for the ETH is the one that is supposed to help performance/drivability using winter fuel. It came out last December but I'm not sure of the TSB number. Certainly not a recall by any means. I've had the winter fuel reflash done, this April, and running on summer fuel I felt absolutely no power improvement.

Mine became low on power and the fuel mileage would be good

sometimes and bad other times. I would leave Melbourne Fl to to Palm Beach. I would be showing 19MPG all the way down and 14 on the way back. It would do this almost every trip. Went to Sunshine Dodge in Melbourne Fl and told him want was going on.

He checked it out and told me the ECM was not talking to the

Fuel pump and one other computer. He blanked the computers memory and re-installed a program that works. That was in February 01. They put a sticker on the inside of the truck stating want he had done. If you need to known what the numbers are, I can get them for you. My fuel mileage is up to 18. 8 at 70mph

and 17 at 75mph. The pickup at 70 mph is twice as good as before. My truck is still stock with 48k on it as of today.

The Cummins man said the computers were not talking to each other.

Let me known if you need the numbers. E-mail at MarServs@Cs. Com

I thought there was a Re flash for "Low power in overdrive" but they are NOT touching my truck, with the EZ now i could not be happier (Unless i drive MoparMuscles truck again), if you ever drive it, you will hate your truck.

The only other reflash I know is for the oil pressure sending unit voltage spike. This was done to my truck due to irratic oil pressure readings. They still ended up replacing the sending unit. Check Dave Fritzs website to see all the current TSBs.

Dhawthorne,

Sorry to get techincal on you here, but I just looked at your signature and it says you have a 2000 ETH/DEE. I just want to keep facts straight, but the ETH was never available on the 2000 trucks because it came out in 2001. However, the 6spd was available since '99,so your 2000 6spd truck would be designated just like mine,an ETC/DEE.

I just wanted to point this out because the program in your 2000 ETC ecm is going to be way different than the 2001 ETH ecm.
