Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Run Away Cruise Control

I set it on 70 and stayed for a spell then it takes off. IS it a function of the APPS or is it a vac run ?

My '97 just started doing the same thing.

I had the same problem on a 96', also with low voltage, and no tach. Thought possibly a ground issue. After a lot of looking found a bad connection at the ECM. I could duplicate the problem by wiggling the connector at the computer. Pins were corroded ended up replacing the module. Hope this helps.
