I'm interested in dropping my EGT without losing any performance. Also don't want to replace transmission or TC yet. What do you like about the HTB2? What are the downsides? Installation problems?

Thanks.

Put a Killer B2 on my 03. Takes a new downpipe and a little tweeking to make it fit right. Spools quick, nearly as fast as the stocker. Seems to flow a lot more air in the 10-20psi range, that's where you feel it most. Less egt's and smoke with a much stronger feel in that range. I'm heard of a few guys having trouble with the killers though, we'll see what they tell you here. Sounds like HTT did well with the customer service on those units though.

the turbo is awesome and the customer service is great there. I had it for a month then it started surging really bad. Called paul he informed me of a new cartridge upgrade so he sent it out with no deposit and then i had it installed. Awesome took care of the problem and then i started to notice the same thing happening. Called paul he said he thinks it's a fass pump cavitation issue that is affecting the whole system in turn making the turbo surge. I think he's right. However he said if it's not that he'd make it right with me if i wanted to go a different route. I mean the turbo spools crazy fast for it's size and it's great on egt's. I felt a bit bad after talking to paul all these times to find out that the problem wasn't in his product at all. If u go with it you will be extremely happy i believe

if you don't plan to get too radical, I recommend either the smaller HTB2 (62 compressor) with the 12 housing or the Killer B with the 12 housing with your auto transmission. They spool faster than an HX40 and cool just as well. Customer service is great also. So far I have been running mine for about 14,000 miles.
