Please help me out if you can.
I was driving down the road yesterday and I saw EXACTLY what I was looking for in a running board. They were non-metallic, painted, with rubber traction pads, they hung down from the truck about 4 inches and they had substantial looking attaching brackets that were covered with plastic. This is just what I've been looking for, for a number of reasons... the 4" drop would really be useful as our 2500 4x4 is VERY tall. And the 4" drop also prevents the snow and road salt from being trapped between the running board and the body. The 4" drop also allows you to really get your foot planted on the board.
If anyone knows who makes these, or where I can locate them, please let me know.
Please don't tell me that they are Ford OEM.
