fuel filter pic.....unknown miles and 110 gallons of BioDiesel

easiest cheapest way to make bio?

I have topped my tank off with BioDiesel twice and I have noticed my engine at startup running a little rough but it smooths out after running a few minutes.

You may want to check your fuel filter. It is my understanding that bio has detergent properties and can "clean out" your fuel lines of built up gunk. Anyone else?

Bio will clean the crud out of the system. After just 3k miles on B20 my filter was filthy and I had alot of white goo in the bottom of the filter canister. Bio is a natural solvent. Change your filter and see if it clears up. I ran 6k on B20 with two filter changes at 3k each then changed over to B100 after that. After about 60k on B100 everything is running great infact better than it did on #2

Engine service today

I had my engine serviced today and changed my fuel filter. We inspected the filter extremely well and found absolutely no crud in the filter. There were a few spots of what looked like smaller than pepper sized metal (shiney) specs on the bottom plate. I felt them with my finger and they were so small I could not feel them. I still have no idea why my engine ran rough. Since the full fillup of regular diesel that weekend my engine has run flawlessly. Thanks for all the suggestions.
