Which to buy 12V or 24V?

Diesel gelling in the cold?

'97 12V:

Any idea why my engine runs rough when the truck is in reverse (auto trans)? It threatens to stall when you give it gas, and when we tried backing our trailer into the driveway it took 10-15 tries because it kept stalling. This is after it had run for 2+ hours on the highway!

Any ideas?

What is your idle at?

To low of an idle while trying to back up a trailer will definitely kill the engine. I know this from the "been there done that" school of wisdom :D

Reverse on a AT is just too high. Since you have 4wd just put it in low. You can even install a switch that give you low without the front wheel drive. Do a search on front wheel lockout.
