1995 ram 2500 165000 miles 5speed --when temp outside is just a little cold--- fires right up but shakes bad and smokes (white)
until warm--acts like engine miss--if it is a bad injector (leaking over night) what is the easiest way to find it--thanks for any help

Loosen one injector line at a time and see if one of them doesn't change the idle. Note..it will be messy.

Use a hand held temp gun and shoot each portion of the exhaust manifold and see if one or two of your cylinders aren't firing (look for the cold ones)

Depending on fuel pump timing (which I'm assuming is still factory set), a bad grid heater could be an issue. if you had a leaking injector, the engine may not start or have a lot of black smoke when driving. Assuming an injector is leaking and not overfueling.

outside temp has to be below 50 to run rough otherwise runs fine, just slight miss on first hard acceleration -- let off runs great--no change with ac--I have
done so little to this truck---(killer dowel pin)--1 clutch -- 4 inch exhaust-- rebuilt trans --added 4th gear lock nut --and rebuilt transfer case ( trans and transfer case my fault--loaned out truck and will never do that again!!!) oil change every 4to5 thousand - fuel filter every 20 or now since I retired 1 a year I'll wait till it gets cold outside and try your suggestions thanks speck

Does it do it mainly when you wind it up cold with little to no boost pressure? There's a good chance you need to check you're timing and maybe advance it a bit. Typically with time the factory timing will "slip", cold stumbles are a symptom of this. There's a few other benefits to bumping the timing as well.
