Rust already!!!

I just can't believe it,I was cleaning my door jams and under the drivers door there is rust coming out already,not all the way through but the paint is bubbling,I just cant believe it.

I called Genessee Valley Dodge and they said if there is no holes we can't do anything!! This sucks!!

I had this thing be 2 years in January and rust is already hitting it.

I have a 94 Ford that is totally rust free with over 140000 miles on it.

This will keep me from buying another Dodge if they don't fix it. .

I was looking at new trucks and noticed a 2001 that had undercoating on the cab. It looked like a spray on liner for the bed. Is this a option, it wasn't on the sticker.

I had a similar thing on my 97. I took off the mirrors to put on the flip ups, and there were bubbles. I took a pick and poked the paint bubbles away and there was no rust, just bare metal underneath. I sanded the area, primed, painted and applied some 3M clear rocker decal in the triangle that gets covered by the mirror and that ended it. The moisture trapped under the mirror was wicking through the paint. A local bodyman said it's a common thing. That's why he doesn't recommend driving around for a year with a bra on the hood.

A friend of mine's truck had the bubbles. He took a paint scraper and found it to be nothing but clean metal underneath. Then he had to spend the rest of the afternoon repairing the scraped area.

I flaked some of it away and it is rust,looks like the door wasn't preped right,I am going to take it in tomorrow,see what they say. .

XP Rocks???? Do you have the Second Edition already? MS is worse than GM about releasing products before they are debugged. Dont change your hardware or you'll have to get "permission" from mr gates to reactivate your OS. I thought "XP" was short for "eXtra Problems" anyway. I'll pass.

Dont intend to step on your toes but I hate mr gates second to bin laden. I agree windoze ME sucks big time. Sure wish we had alternative OS to choose from... Oh well I guess bill gates is right, we dont need a choice in OS just ANOTHER version of windoze to chose from LOL

Well there is Linux and some other to choose from that has nothing to do with Mr. Gates...

Yes, but then the next problem is, "Will Office 2000 run on linux?" Still can't get away from mr gates. That was the problem with OS/2 after MS abandended it... Office wouldn't run on it, so it was useless.

There are several office productivity apps for Linux that can replace MS Office. I use Star Office myself, and it works beautifully, reading MS Word/Excel files transparently.



I converted my office desktop over to Linux over two years ago and haven't looked back.



BTW--the TDR website runs on Linux.

I lived in Hawaii for 6 years and never had a problem with body rust. These things work very well.
