Saturday I dropped my tank out of the '94 to check the rear brake line. After reading many posts about rust, and having almost 175000 miles I gave it a look. WOW! The last 30" of line was paper thin and just fell off of the frame mounts. I spliced in a new 6 foot line and made a good repair. When I put the fuel filler back on I found the top of the tube to be rusted through also. A lot of sanding and soldering and that was fixed too. Thanks to the TDR I saved a lot of money on that one, and maybe an accident too!

My brother in law had the same problem with his 97 2500 with just 87,000 miles on it. We were on the way to IRP and his gave way on 75 just North of I 70 near Dayton. We were in the big convoy to IRP and all 27 trucks pulled into a Pizza Hut parking lot to help out. Thanks to all the guys he limped it to Indy where he got a place to fix it for him. The place is called Ralph's Brake and Muffler in Avon and they do GREAT work. They got on it at 5:15 and we were out the door at 6:00! The guys there are fantastic. They've been in business since 1949 and with service like this I can see why. They even fabbed a rear pipe hanger for his 4" tailpipe .
