Rusting Axles

These past two months I had to replace the rear and front axles. The rear housing rotted to the point that it started to leak. The front was not far behind. Has anyone else had this happen?

The housings for third gen's are no longer available from Dodge. The rear came from a salvage yard in Mobile Alabama and the front was new. I found it on eBay.

Next I'll start wire brushing and painting the frame.
