Ok I'm ready to get new injectors and wanted to ask Where is best place to buy? I have looked at Vulcan, Diesel power and Dieselautopower. They are all about the same price so has anybody have an opinion as to which is better customer service, willing to stand behind what they sell. Thanks

Update
injectors on the way. part number ends with 635. will update as new news available. will try to get pix as work goes on. Thanks again. I see I forgot to say that I got the injectors from DAP.

The Rv275s along with my Smarty really woke my truck up compared to stock. Nice power gain for towing. I ultimately went with them because they were a Bosch injector. But I now have an HE351 to swap in place of my HX and am thinking of selling mine for a set of +75 horse injectors.

I decided I wanted my truck to last forever since I can never again buy a truck this nice. I sold the Smarty and now just run with the RV injectors and a 14cm turbo housing upgrade.
I only use the truck for towing and hauling a cabover camper and have found that in most cases this setup is all I really need. Plenty of power and little or no smoke. My truck has 155K on it and I hope to run it for at least another 155k. Oo.

The ECM will defuel if the boost is too high (22 or 24 psi I think). The fooler goes between the MAP sensor and the ECM and gives "approved" data.

Never mind on the Boost fooler question I looked it up.
I was thinking that now that I am not running the Smarty I might need a boost fooler.
I just drove back up to AK with a camper and loaded car hauler and never went into limp mode
even though I was regularly blowing the waste gate.

I personally would run the Smarty. The only thing that could potentially damage your truck would be your right foot. The positives outweigh the negatives. A mild tune will tweak the timing and fueling enough to give an increase in mileage (as long as you drive the same as you would without it), and the extra power is on tap for those big grades or heavy loads. Plus you have the ability to read and clear codes, and reprogram the abs. I feel it is the best available tuner on the market for the VP trucks because it fuels hard down low which is where you realistically work the engine the most. I just don't have use for a programmer that makes all its horsepower on the top end of the engine, that's not where I need the power.

Yes the smarty is nice, I like it better than the edge comp I recently installed on my truck. Ran a smarty briefly on the 99. I ran rv275s and only a boost fooled and it was adequate

Update
found time to install new Rv 275 injectors, just finished. Photos and write to follow, to tired right now. Would like to say thank you to all that have posted advice on this forum. Also thanks to Blue Chip for the great instructions on his web site. I got instructions and torque settings from mopar1973man as well.

Thanks for your purchase

In the last year we have made some major improvements to our DAP injectors:
• Extrude honed
• Liquid matching at 1500psi instead of the common 50psi with air
• Some tip work
• Large feed bodies on bigger injectors
• Improved over all build quality
