What causes A/C to ice up? Can hear ice dropping off unit when it kicks into air mode.

I read a post somewhere that said comp. oil was leaking, but I dont see any ,.

Any pointers???

Thanks. Ed

1. The thermostat probe could have worked loose. Needs to be inserted between the fins.

2. Could be low on freon.

3. Airflow could be restricted.

I had #1 happen to the unit on my first RV.

4. Low voltage

5. Clogged filter (as in 3. )

Low voltage.....

That might be it. Checked all the others and good, besides 2 wasp nests. . Left them... ...

the voltage here has always been in question. If the fan is on and the AC kicks on, the fan RPM slows enough that it can be heard.

Thanks. HAve to check that at another park.
