I do love the dodge trucks I have owned but my needs are outgrowing a pickup. I'm also interested in saving a buck. My main hobby is rockcrawling and with that I tow alot and run with a group. So I need to be able to haul 2 or more rockbuggies and a camper. Truck prices just keep going up, so I bought a 1996 International semi with a stand up sleeper ( almost forgot it's an N-14
. This covers the ability to haul and also the sleeper doubles as a small camper. I have done the neccessary stuff to get it titled as an rv, but I'm not having luck finding decent insurance. Every one I talk to wants to put me in a commercial policy. What are these toter homes gettting insured as? I think rv's? I don't want to pay hundreds a month when the truck will receive less than 5000mi a year. I know in the TDR mag they are doing a story about a conversion of a T2000 kw. I have built a flat bed that goes on the back, over the tandems, and will be able to tow a bumper pull behind. the bed is also removable so it still can pull a regular semi trailer. just takes a forklift to remove. Can anyone tell me who does this kind of insurance?
