Just remember that water expands when heated and it has to go somewhere. My boiler at home has an expansion tank. On my camper a little hot water gets pushed into the cold line and sometimes pops the pressure relief valve.

I installed the back-flow preventer yesterday and it seems to have cured the problem. We have nice cold water at the kitchen and bath cold water taps now. Thanks for everyone's thoughts and suggestions.

I hope that helped you when the RV guy told me what it was I still didnt understand all I knew about it. I just trust this guy and he has never let me or anyone Ive sent over down. Happy Trails
