Anyone going to the NATCOA event in Ogalla, Nebraska...?

What is the best product for taking care of our rubber roofs on our campers? And how often do you guys apply something to your roofs. I would like to find a faster and easyer way to maintaining the roof.

There is a product made by Proctect All, Robber Roof Cleaner, they also make a Rubber Roof Treatment. Plan on spending about $30 a gallon. I put the cleaner in a spray bottle straight and use the same long handle brush that I clean the sides of the rig with. I rinse the roof and spray about a 4x4 area with the cleaner, brush and rinse. Now if you read the How to Part they will have you on your hands and knees. The stuff is going to run down the sides(water flows down Hill)and make a mess. The sides get washed next any way. This is one job you don't start at the bottom and work up on. I also have used Simple Green the same way. Simple Green may not work as well if you roof is real dirty, but Sams sells a Gallon for less than $10,but standing on the ground it's hard to tell. Also the ROOF IS GOING TO GET SLIPPEY WHEN WET. I clean my roof about twice a year or if you wax your rig, clean the roof with RV Wash more often and save the big guns for when the roof gets alot of the stuff on it that falls from the trees on it. There are times I wish we still had our 15ft trailer. Happy RVing :)

Whatever you use,(I just use simple green), NEVER tell anybody you used anything other than mild soap and water on it if it's still under warranty. They will void the warranty in a heartbeat! Also NEVER tell them you used a pressure washer on any part of the unit, they will void warranty on this too. This is not all dealers but be safe not sorry.

I have to reseal my roof... . the coach is 10 years old... . and there is a tear from a tree branch.....

The product I bought has no petrolium products in it. . and the label says its safe for RV roofs...

However the label on the container says not for use on EDPR (forgot the exact letters)... . my roof is a one piece product glued to the plywood and screwed to the sides.....

The container says that to use 2 coats..... and that it will stretch up to 300% if correctly applied... . Just don't know about the letters in the fine print... .

someone come to my rescue please. .

For the Tear Camping World sells a Roof Patch Kit for Rubber Roofs that I have used on my 1998,also I know people that have used the the Rubber Roof Reseal kit on a 1995 with very good results. I did not climb up for a look, but from the ground it look like a new roof. It is a 2 part system a primer and top coat. A 35ft trailer takes about a 1& 1/2 Gals. of each. Hope this helps some.
