Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) RV275s only... overboost codes?

I am taking my Edge Ez off my truck and I had a question.



Will the 275RV's set off an overboost code without the Ez as a boost fooler?

I think when you remove the boost elbow you will only get about 20 lb psi.

Make sure that your waste gate will open. When I took off my E-Z the waste gate had stuck closed. I set boost codes until I moved it by hand a couple of times to free it up.

You will only set codes (without the EZ) if your wastegate is disabled or altered from the factory elbow (if so equipt). I have run DDIII's for a few days with no boost fooler and the factory elbow (while my box was being fixed) and didnt set any codes.

You guys were right. Everything works great. It still has a suprising amount of power with just the 275s.

Mine does. It will store the over boost code in the ecm. This was with just the 275's and no waste-gate elbow. If your but-meter is working you can feel it de-fuel as it passes[from memory] 19lbs of boost. The performance gains from the 275's will be less than 100% without a fooler.
