I was wanting to change over to Biodiesel B-20 and have not seen any info on RVers using it. Is there any problems with hauling power? Also if I can't find it at some locations is it okay to switch between using regular diesel and B-20?

I never noticed any power loss with bio. I think it makes my truck smoother, less surging since the ulsd came out. Most people don't know what it is and don't use it. It may gel sooner in the cold so keep that in mind if you go where its cold or add some anti gel.

I prefer to tow with bio. It definately runs smoother and quieter. It does not effect power or milage in my rig.

The only difference I noticed whiled pulling with bio (B100) was almost no smoke at all compared to #2. Like stated above the engine is quieter, and smoother. You can go back and forth with no problems, I use B20 in the colder months and B100 when it warms up. From what I have read B20 does not change #2 as far as the gel temps are concerned that much, it's actually almost the same. I do run an anti gel with the B20 just incase and as far as B100 goes if it gets below 27* you can wind up with some gelling issues. The only other thing to do is watch your fuel filter, bio is a natural solvent and will clean the crud out of your fuel system. Also with B20 you will not need any kind of lubrication additive, bio has twice the lubricity of #2.

I don' think you would have any problems with Bio 20, but,if you still have warranty, you shouldn't run more than 5% Bio, since that was all Cummins had approved last I heard. Come to think of it, Dodge warranties these engines. You ought to check with them for their take on this.
