Hey Pard if I remeber (getting old has taken its toll) your into A/C home & industrial systems?

Im in Memphis right now and haven't had a lot of time to reach out to you on a question about our Home Gibson Heat Pump. Never having any experience with this type of system, a few days ago there was a super high humidity episode for 2 days the A/C worked fine but during a period of about 20 hours the fan that circulates air didn't shut off. The in the house humidity was as it always is 60% when the A/C is on don't know if thats to high or not. When the humidity dropped with the outside temp the unit is how its been for the 2 years we've been here. Ive asked around about the quality of Gibson equipment and have responses from Junk to Fantastic so like everything else its a matter of opinion. Was the fan running for extended time a Normal Opp procedure to deal with the humidity or was something possibly frozen and needed time to thaw out and return to normal, I asked Penny over the phone if any of the lines or units parts showed signs of frost and there were none.

PS: I'm on a smart phone is why I didn't send this to your personal in mail Guess the phone isn't smart but more than likely its my fault

Was checked out and we found out that in the crawl space we have a de-humidifier. Live and learn!! why on extremely high humidity days the system fan ran continuously. Changed the filter and now I know.

Awesome, that is unusual to have that, but my experience is in the Pacific South West. I imagine they are very popular in the South East. Glad you got it figured out. A question of mine would have been, "do you have a humidistat?" and would be a clue.

The Controls? (humidistat) is in what has got to be the most complex control system that runs the Heating/ A/C that I've ever seen. Penny runs the house and that is part of her household control. It can be adjusted to the % of humidity desired.

Thanks for your response
