I had my axle off the truck a while back. Had to completely strip it down for the trip to the machine shop. While I had all the parts loose, I cleaned everything up and painted what I could. I'm guessing that that little thing with the wires leading to it was the RWAL sensor. It was pretty greas\y and dirty. All I had was carb cleaner, so I sprayed it down and dried it as good as I could. It was several more days before it was reinstalled.

Right after I got the truck on the road, I noticed that the Brake and ABS lights would come on briefly, after I would hit a good bump in the road. It was mainly bridge joints on the interstate. It would light for no more than a second and go out. This happened for two different trips, of about 750 miles each.

I noticed on this last trip that it didn't happen at all. Do you suppose it was that sensor? Everything else (brakewise) is fine.

Could be one of two things with the RWAL harness. Either it is loosing connection in one of the 2 connectors or there is a bare wire in the harness going to ground. I would suspect a bad connection first and pull both the connectors on the RWAL harness and clean and dielectric grease them and see what happens.

Hey, if it stops, dont go messing it up by getting the RWAL going again. :D  If you need a sensor, you can have mine; I unplugged the controller behind the dash. Havent had any RWAL trouble with this truck, but have had enough in the past... .....

I like the de-sensortized; overly sensortive makes me sound like a pansy. I have a reputation of insensortivity to uphold, you know.
