Direct Fit Diesel Muffler

New product for 3rd gens

I'd like to see one that was stock transmission friendly, maybe a little less expensive that had maybe half of options the current one does. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like there is a market out there to have a product that places more of an emphasis on producing the correct timing to get the best mpg. Knowing myself, if I have the product in hand that can destroy the stock transmission, and I have to show the restraint not to use it... . Well, that's just not possible. :-laf

Put smarty on stock torque management and run 30/60 horse and i think you'lll be fine. I personally think that should not hurt the stock drivetrain even when ur hard on it.

Governor Style

How about a selectable governor style? I'll explain. Older diesels with mechanical pumps/governors basically came in two varieties. "All speed" and "min/max". (corrections welcome)

The difference is how the engine reacts to throttle input. An all speed type controls rpm directly, i. e. half throttle gives you half rated rpm, and the gov will attempt to maintain that rpm, adjusting fuel according to load.

A min/max will allow the engine to rev sooner, similar to a gas engine.

This feature is selectable on the bigger Cummins engines in large trucks. (assuming electronic controls) I can't explain the technical reasons for wanting one over the other, but I do know that all-speed types with manual transmissions are typically easier to shift when pulling heavy loads.

Personally, I would like this feature because I feel that it would be easier to match rpm to road speed for smoother up and down shifts. Essentially a less sensitive throttle.

Thanks for reading,

I'm quite satisfied with the software that came with it. I would like to see a higher defuel RPM, something near 4000. Adjustability in that arena isn't important to me, my right foot will take care of it. A PTO or high idle option would be cool as well. If one of those things come about I'll update my software.

I am with scott. High idle control for the 03's, and raise the rpm's.

Marco finally got his dsl lines up and running yesterday :)

He had almost an 8 week wait :{

Marco has been very busy behind the scenes and the future looks bright :)

Hey Bob you mentioned that some new things might be coming for us second gen guys. Do you have any info on that... ..... ?

more RPMs (4000) adjustable pressure (like EZ 1,2,3,4), no speed limiter, ability to diagnose ABS codes, data acquisition with a tattle tale, and some kind of trans control, at least lockup points... i hate locking and unlocking my converter ALL the time

Bob/Marco - Puhleeze give a hint what's in the works for us 3rd Gen'rs.

The latest updates on the website sound like maintenance updates?

We're looking for some upGRADES.

Don't get me wrong - I like Smarty... . just having a NEED-FOR-MORE-SPEED moment!

The basic bells and wistles...

-Pressue... . so i dont have to buy a quad

-Remove the Top Speed Limiter... . so i can do a speed i dont need to in a 8k

truck

- Day Time Running Lights enable / disable - so i can be safe at 125mph

----------------------------------------

Things I would like, but dont think are realistic or possible.....

- Adjustable Boost limit

- Trans control

- Ability to change parameters within the software via laptop: Adjust Boost Limit, Pressure, Tq Mgmt, Trans Lockup Points

- Make coffee and print cash
