Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) S&B Air FIlters

Does anyone know anything about the S&B Air FIlters? Their WEB site is www.sbfilters.com.

Yeah there a pretty nice filter. I had one about a year ago I realy liked it except for it was a little loud when I was pulling a lot and the boost pressure was up all the time.

So i sold it to a friend and he loves it. I tried the bhaf ,and I liked the paper filter not being oiled but It made my truck egts go up alot quicker. So long story short there is another s&b on it's way right know. They don't have the name afe does but if you read up on them they are a pretty good filter. They also enclose their filters to keep

out the hot engine air were alot of others don't. As they say just my two cents.

By the way we have our truck are pretty close indentical and your jake brake will sound a whole lot meaner with it.

I have one I like the turbo whine so it doesnt bother me.

Best bang for the buck I found. Sounds great with the silencer ring out - it surley can whistle dixie if you play with the pedal when it starts singing. EGT's seem to be less than with the stock box too. And, it looks better. Good quality product.
