What settings can you run on the street w/o breaking 1400° when trying to move out smartly? That's where I have the defueling point set. I'd like to try to keep it below that.

I can't seem to run over about 5x3 on my original twins flash (no pressure) without the TST defueling. If I do a 2000rpm 4th gear roll-on, I'll hit 1400 before redline in 5th. My Quad Race felt stronger than the TST with these settings.

I have an AFE stage II, Banks Technicooler, ATS manifold, FASS that maintains about 16psi at WOT. Not sure what the deal is, but it seems to me I shouldn't be getting this hot this quick.

On a Dynojet, I made plenty of power with the original program on 7x7 and a BDDL on tow. Seems to me I could run higher settings on the street, too.

I talked to TST, they told me that 7x7 is the same on the regular flash and the twins flash. The only difference is that the fueling starts earlier (4psi vs. 11).

What are you guys running? What are your EGT's?

I don't know, maybe I'm just used to the power. It doesn't really impress me any more. What do you suggest?

You might be draining the rail. My TST/sps66 got hot(1400+) with stock injectors at about 6/5. With injectors it flies past 1400 at TST 2/1. TST 1/1 and it usually wont hit 1350. Rail pressure on my truck is low (cant hit 23,000psi) and drops to 13,000-15,000 psi with TST giving ANY fuel. I used to run pressure only before the TST,SPS66 and sticks.

I can not run over 5/2 and EZ on 1 without getting over 1400* with the similar mods in my signature. I do run a lot hotter with current stack, than theHOT Juice and EZ. I just figure I really need the twins to do what I want and probably need modded CP3, new pressure relief valve, injectors, cam, bigger intercooler and some cool down drugs. Then see what the EGTs do.

It is true that low common rail pressure will make EGT's go up. I have a 6 speed 04. 5 and just lately put in a Stage 2 CP3 and Stage 3 injectors. I have noticed something I didn't expect. The EGT's have decreased about 100deg. as long as I don't run the Common Rail pressure down too low. I have watched it all the way to May Madness in Las Vegas/Puhrump Nev. and back. I have done some research and those that I have talked to have agreed that it is possible in theory. Larger injectors allow more fuel to be injected to the engine. The ECM cuts the pulse width to control the engine speed and fuel. This makes a senario were fuel is injected over a shorter time or pulse width. This allows the fuel more time to burn since the fuel is being injected faster. This will help EGT's. I am still collecting data but it seems reasonable. Thanks, Brady

I guess it's time to install my SPA rail pressure gauge. I was hoping to wait until DLeno's DiPricol Optix came out, but I'll have to use the one I've got for now.

I need to figure this out, it's frustrating to say the least. Perhaps I need a new CP3...
