This was our first 11 second pass up until we had a hose loosen up Compare the 60' times as well as the I3 or 1/8 mile. We were . 14 seconds quicker on the 1/8 pole over our 12. 0 time.
HVAC, forgot to tell you some gasser buds(chassis guy) said (while looking at my truck) some dude was at the Clash of the Titans race in a bad ass red diesel, so I had to talk about your truck, heck now you know in the gasser world and they run high 7's on 10. 5's.
Once we resigned ourselves to the fact that our portion of the program had ended, we started paying some attention to the 10. 5 tire class. That's the best racing I've ever had the opportunity to watch first hand. Those guys were kissing the fences, knocking over the timing lights, wrecking, catching on fire, and generally providing quite a show. It's fun to see the Nos cars pitted against the turbo cars.
While we were there we watched a fellow named Millen run his Mustang turbo car to a new record 7. 20. Then he came around later and ran a 7. 17 @ 200 mph! Those cars are NUTZ!!!
Dan(Millen) did good last year in NMRA then built the new car and they outlaw'd it for this year in there 28/10. 5 non(W) class, those guys try to put about the same power(91mm turbo vise a 106mm) on regular 28/10. 5's. I followed them more the last 2 years but fell out this year, I guess I'll try to be around them more next year and run in some Diesel classes but not on your level
World Ford event is the one to go watch, or the NMRA finals.
Doesn't look like a problem with the lights. Normally, if the start beams are obstructed (by smoke), it will use the 60' light, then the 330' light to calculate the 1/8 mile time at the 8th. You lose the RT and 60', but the rest will be correct.
