So long story short my Vin of my truck got put in the system as being crushed and now I can no longer get a license tag for it!
I have spent a year fighting with the professional bureaucrats of the DMV in the great state of Georgia to get laughed out of the office.
A scrapyard put my vin in by accident even though they sent in a letter trying to retract it and never turned a title in for my truck. Also it cannot be reversed because I lost my original title and when I requested a new one that's how I found all this out. And then when my tag ran out I could not renew it .
Sooooooo I am in desperate need of as cheap of a 2500 skeleton with a clean as I can get so I can use my truck for parts :/ n get back on the Rd! I'm getting desperate ! It's my only truck n I do construction . :{:{:{

I agree. There has to be a way around this.
In Ohio the State Highway Patrol performs extensive inspections on vehicles that have been deemed totaled to generate a salvage title. They verify the vehicle parts matches the VIN and haven't been swapped from another vehicle. For example the body code plate can be found in one of two places, either on the floor under the passenger seat or on the front face of the radiator core support. It will have the complete VIN in addition to the normal accessory info found on a car fender tag. I'm pretty sure they can also trace the ESN of your engine back to the VIN. I would contact whoever does your inspections for salvage titles and explain the situation. I can't see how you can be denied a title if the scrap yard company is willing to submit a written statement on your behalf.

I've been jumping through hoops with state of Georgia paper work for a year . Quicker n cheaper to just buy a cheap truck n swap parts .
