I gave the new sps 62 a good run today about 400 miles, but with the tst on 4x4 and va on low i can hit 50 psi pretty quick, is this normal or is it a little high for a 62??. i haven't adjusted any thing yet just installed the way it came from II

but it does have aa adjustable boost elbow installed.

What you can do is run a "full flow" boost elbow instead of the modified one II.

It will lower your peak boost if that is a concern for you.

Having the restrictive elbow decreases spool time.

50 psi will not hurt that turbo.

If 50 is ok i'll leave it, been running 50-60psi with the twins with no problem, 50 on the sps62 should'nt hurt , i was more woried about the turbo over speeding.

Thanx!

The SPS62/80 does run a higher RPM so you will be OK if you never plug the wastegate. The wastegate keeps the RPM in check. You won't have any problems. That has been a very good turbo. Have fun!

Thanks Brett, I'm just a worrier, so far i love this thing spools very fast, and egt control has been great, i like when the wastgates open and the egt gage just stops in it's tracks.

And this has got to be the meanest sounding turbo i've ever heard.
