Does anyone have an educated answer for what the safe maximum egt is for these trucks? Today I was seeing teps around the 1160 degree mark post turbo in the elbow. My truck is straight piped, egr deleted, afe filter system and edge juice chip. I'm running at 22,000 lbs at high altitudes with the outside temperature at 30C/85F. Is 1160 safe on these trucks? I know that on my old 12v and 24v trucks I'd be at risk of piston meltdown at that temp.
