Added an Edge EZ a few weeks ago (very noticable power gain). What other power mods can be made without damaging or upgrading the auto/trans. Injectors? What type? No heavy towing.
DD1's will do it in, so I assume 275's will too as they are not all that far behind in power. You are at the limit without bombing the transmission too.
You can not add any more power without hurting the auto, I know, I just went through it. I had DDI's which increased my horse power 60HP and when I added one of the minor fueling and timeing boxes it was more than the transmission could take. I just installed BD's new 7X stator converter, Modified Valve Body, and pressure lock, I couldn't beleive this was the same truck afterwards. The power is now put to the ground where it belongs. I then installed a Edge Comp box and what an awesome combination, all the power I will ever want, and the transmission modification keeps it going to the ground.
you really cant add any more power than stock without the possiblilty of hurting the transmission. if your on a budget you can up your transmission line pressure by about 8 pounds to help from getting any transmission slippage with the extra power mods. If you have a big wallet you can go with after market valve bodies and torque converters. But I would do alot of home work before ordering and transmission mod's. with any transmission mod there will be pros and cons. I would sujest test driving a rig with any mods you may be interested in before spending the $$$.
